Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) – Michael Leighton stopped all 21 shots he faced, as the Carolina Hurricanes blanked the Philadelphia Flyers, 1-0, in preseason action from the RBC Center.
Sergei Samsonov was the lone player to find the back of the net, 8:20 into the contest.
Flyers starting netminder Jean-Sebastien Aubin allowed one goal on 19 shots, while Scott Munroe finished with 16 saves.
