Mark Recchi Autograph Signing - 2/00

Fairgrounds Square Mall - Schuylkill Valley Sports
Reading, PA

I dont recall exactly when this signing took place, but I do know that it was sometime in February of 2000. Roger Neilson was out due to his battle with cancer, and Craig Ramsey was coaching in his place at the time. There was an enormous crowd at the mall, and the line went outside and almost wrapped around the mall. My wife and I headed to the mall right after work, and the signing was scheduled to begin around 5pm. However, when we got there, it was already so packed that we decided to just stand by and watch the proceedings. There was a Q&A session immediately following the signing, and I was actually able to ask Mark a question regarding the differences between Ramsey's and Neilson's coaching styles. We were fortunate enough to finally get an autograph when Mark stepped off the stage from the Q&A and my wife approached him amongst the mob. Apologies for the poor clarity. I had to scan all of these in because I didn't have a digital camera at the time.

Rex exits the store toward his seat.

Get those Sharpies ready...they've got work to do.

This lucky girl got her cast signed.

A nice jersey, indeed.

Rex signs an All-Star jersey.

Mark made this lady's day.

Starting the Q&A session.

Here's Mark responding to my question directly.

Rex signs more souvenirs for the crowd.

My wife gets her Recchi jersey signed.
